Question: Can you still have fun on Valentine’s Day if you aren’t in a relationship?

Dear single on Valentine’s Day,

Of course you can still have fun on Valentine’s day if you’re single! Valentine’s   Day isn’t just about landing a hot date or chilling with your crush–there are plenty other things you can do instead. One of the best parts of Valentine’s day are all of the good deals you can get on candy. Chocolate can be found half-priced at many stores, which you can definitely stock up on! You buy a bunch of chocolate that  can be shared with friends and family, or even just yourself. Aside from all of the candy, there are plenty of other things to look forward to. For one, all of the cool diy baking and crafting tutorials on youtube can be super fun to try out and experiment with. You can try these hacks out and try them on all of your friends–whether it’s a batch freshly baked cookies or cool heart shaped frame, these tutorials can be super fun to try out.  The Valentine’s day makeup tutorials are just as fun to watch and try out with your friends. Another fun activity that you can do is head out to the movies. This winter season, there are so many new movies out that we are all dying to see. Rom coms aren’t the only thing to watch. In fact, there are plenty of of horror, comedy, and science fiction movies that you can watch as an alternative. Or you can even mock the romance movies together, and laugh at how cheesy they are. Having fun on Valentine’s day is not just about having someone to give you flowers and chocolates…it can also be a day where you pig out on candy and chill with friends. Don’t feel discouraged that you aren’t in a relationship at this time. There are plenty more valentine’s you can spend with a significant other in the future. However, Valentine’s Day is just another day in the year that you can spend with friends and family. It is completely okay to be single; there are other people in your life that will love and embrace you as you are.
